Dding workstation to vpn router

Hello,
I have a windows 2000 network using a domain controller and never had problems adding computers to the network. Our support people made us put in a netgear vpn router and I am having problems adding a workstation in our office. Is the firewall blocking. I get an error that says network path not found

Can you ping the DC? If not run a traceroute and see where it dies. That will be your problem spot.
