I want to bring up this old debate because it never has a conclusive, definite answer.

Which one of these two cards wold you opt for if you were on a low bidget and looking for a high performance gpu (with respect ot your budget)??
The HD 4850 1Gb or the HD5750 1Gb??

Here are a few facts i gathered about the cards:

HD 4850
- 800 Stream processor
- 93.8 gb/s memory bandwidth
- Dx 10.1

HD 5750
- 700 Stream processor
- 73.5 gb/s memory bandwidth
- supports Eyefinity
- DX 11

The HD5770

Why? the 5770 sells for about $5 more than the 1GB HD5750.

Yeah honestly the 5770 is like $10 more than the 5750 and better than both

5770 all the way, the price difference is so little that its not worth going 5750.

Between those the 5750 but really you're cheaping out on $10 and your performance would increase by like 30%

Between the HD 4850 and HD 5750, I would go for the HD 5750 if those were my only options. Lower power consumption for basically the same performance. Audio bitstreaming. DX11 (doesn't really apply to me since I'm still using Win XP).

Given the small price gap between the the HD 5750 and HD 5770, the HD 5770 offers the best bang for the buck.

yes , this is exactly my problem !
i want to exchange my 4850 with 5750
the person who i want to exchange with is my friend n i supposed to pay him 10$
i wanted to know which one of those having greater performance !
although , they both take 7.3 in win7
n one thing more that 4850 is 256-bit but 5750 is 128-bit
so u be the judge and tell me what can i do ??

I'm in the same position.

For where I come from [not USA], the price difference between the 4850 and 5750 is $25 and between the 5750 and 5770 is another $20. So for me, on a tight budget, I would take the 4850. And this is for lowest prices for the 5750 and 5770.

It's a no brainer between the 5750 and 5770 - 5770 all the way.

I cannot realistically afford the extra $45 for the 5770 though....although I am very tempted....

I took the time to create a table with the FPS using Tomshardware info and the price. Price per FPS was the best for 4850 and the worst for 5750 - LOL.

5750 is not good, to close in price to 5770, wich is much, much faster.

The 5750 loses to both the 4850 and the GTS 250. ( For 30$ more)

Both the 4850 1gb and the 5770 1gb are good options at their price ranges, but the 5750 is NOT.
