So ... I have to ask .... Same price .. same specs .. what differences exist ??

I am only interested in HARD FACTS ... not perceptions/assumptions/testimonials.

Noise ? ... MTBF? ... Benches ? ... which will be quiter ... last longer?

RAID-0 better?

Would one drive present any notable advantage for media apps ??

Please post any good links to benchmarks and LAB TESTS (noise, etc.)

Do a Google search for "Seagate 7200.12 1TB vs. Samsung F3 1TB". Here's one of the returned results:

Or stay right here at THG.....7200.12 takes the cake on noise and temps. The 7200.12 excels in gaming, multimedia and pictures whereas the F3 wins at music and movie maker. See the comparisons here (copy past link in manually, link won't work in forum):

Look at the tests that reflect your usage and choose accordingly.
