How to install Direct X 11

Hello,
I have downloaded the directx_feb2010_redist (104MB)from download.microsoft.com
After I double clicked the icon , it started extracting, after that I double clicked DXSETUP (513KB).
It installed. but if I open GOOGLE EARTH, it doesnot open in direct X mode.
How can I check that whether direct X is installed on my computer or not.
Suggest me something. Please....

First off, DX10 and DX11 are only Windows 7/Vista and come automatically. To check DX version, go to Start => Run => dxdiag. This will tell you the highest DX on the computer, however, this may be higher than what your GPU can actually run.
