Cpu i7 extreme 980a motherboard asus

It really depends on what you plan to use it for. An ASUS P6T SE would do the job fine as any regular X58 motherboard, while the P6T7 Workstation has four 16x PCI-e lanes which means that you can use four different graphic cards at full speed. I suggest the ASUS P6X58D-E or GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R.

If you can afford the i7 980X then you can afford a top-end motherboard to really make the processor fly, so I'd go for the Rampage III Extreme.

Otherwise the two boards as Lmeow suggested are very good.
