I recently built a new i5 system, i started by buying a prebuilt system on craigs list, upgraded the mobo and case, and the power supply i bought with it, just, was not making the cut. so i bought a new one-

- in a bottom mount (PSU) case, i noticed that the cables for my SATA power were designed for a top mount system. That is so say, that the L's are in the wrong positions.

SO, is this a common way to have PSU's or are PSU's designed for both a bottom mount and top mount case.

Thanks! i know this is kinda a silly question but this i my first custom build and i just want to do it right!

Standard would be for a top mounted PSU. I've read your question many times and can't figure out what your asking. Installing a PSU on the bottom shouldn't change any wiring. Just flip it over?

BTW, if you "want to do it right!" I would think its unwise to ignore the link that Henry provided. Ignore hardware reviews at your own risk!
