2Gb Kingston + 4Gb Corsair = ?

Hi everyone,

I would like to combine old parts I already have together..

I have TA790GX 128M with 2 Gb PC 6400 KINGSTON on it, and would like to add 4 Gb Corsair XMS2 6400.

Are they gonna work fine?

Adding ram won't increase the power supply requirements. Just try your ps first.

Man, reading my question now it is really silly

The point is, could it create any problems if they are different brands and might have different latencies? (i don't have the kingston pairs with me now)

You will just have to try them; should run at the slower timings of the two ram sets.
