Memory compatibility...

Hey folks,

I am building a gaming PC and am down to just buying the RAM, OS and monitor. I consulted the Asus P7P55D motherboard manual and discovered that OCZ3P1600LV4GK (7-7-7-24) was not in there, however the OCZ3P16004GK 7-7-6(1333-7-7-20) was. I don't quite understand this because there are other sets of ram with higher voltage requirements and more timing, but yet this one wasn't included in that list. Why not?

Oh... Now that I think about it, the "LV" could be abbreviation for low-voltage. So, I am assuming it is still compatible, but just wanted to confirm that my line of thinking was heading in the right direction.

Do you see the difference? Some mobos has problems with LV RAM kits.

Why aren't in the list? ASUS can't test all the available RAM models, so, they only test someones.

Thank you. This motherboard doesn't have problems with low-voltage RAM, as there are RAM modules with lower voltages included in the list. :-)
