How to get an ethernet connection after reinstalling windows xp professional 32-

Hello, I have reinstalled windows xp Professional on an old pc, but now I have no drivers for "Other Devices" I did what someone said which was to check in device manager and right click on the missing driver then check the driver details, well I have NO driver details. So how can I find out which driver I need to install? someone also said something about hardware id codes, well I can not even find that? Can someone please help me. Thanks you
