display problem on Compaq desktop CPU

Desktop cpu? Cpu's are 1" x 1" and they mount to your motherboard under a fan.

Nobody could possibly help you with the limited information your giving.

If your Compaq has an onboard GPU {Video} and you changed nothing i.e. drivers and the problem persists then the only solution would be to: 1. Purchase a dedicated GPU, 2. Replace the MOBO. If you did change something then run System Restore and select an earlier time prior to the 'display problem' -> failure see #1 or #2 above.
