What sort of an improvement can i see if i change my graphics card?

I currently have an nvidia 1gb 9400gt, i plan to buy an Sapphire ATI Radeon HD5770 HD 5770 Vapor-X 100283VX-2L 1gb. What sort of an improvement will i see??

Vast, vast, vast improvements, but varies based on what your other specs are. What's your full system specs and what resolution are you planning to run your games on?

Yes, specs are required although the difference would be massive. You are going from pretty much integrated performance up to last generations high end.

I had a buddy that did this exact swap with an E8400 and his performance gain was exponential. He was required to change his PSU though. As stated above we need full specs.

I have a Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E4500 @ 2.20GHz with a gigabyte s-series (s-2)motherboard and 2gb ram and ill be upgrading to a 550 watt PSU.
