Losing my net connection

Hello, I just bought a wireless adapter for my imac and connect ok but after 30 minutes or so i lose my connection and have to restart my computer. could this be a configuration problem between my wireless adapter and firefox? and if not, does anyone have any idea as to what my problem may be?

Is there another computer in the system that can tell you whether it's the iMac that's the problem or the Internet connection?
