Eyefinity + crossfife

hi,

does anyone know if the application profiles is necessary to enable a game to use crossfire and eyefinity?

an ati rep told me yesterday that with 10.3 all eyefinity and crossfire issues should be resolved AND that the app profile needs to be installed to take advantage of cross/quadfire and eyefinity..
