Help with my build please

I have purchased these parts for a new system build that I will be using mainly for a HTPC, but I wil also be doing some movie encoding as well. This is my 1st system build and Im trying to make sure I dont run into any compatibility issues. Also I've read a few reviews about antec power supply's not being fully compatible with some mobo's, somehow creating a buzzing sound........not totally sure if its the users mistake though.

1.Can I use my PSU's 20+4 pin connector together to power up the board which has a 24 pin connection? Which I know it seems like a redundant question to ask, but this is my 1st build and I dont want to fry anything....forgive me for being overcautious.

2.I also researched wiki and saw that AM2 socket CPU's will fit into an AM3 board also...can anyone confirm this??
I was given a CPU - AMD Athlon X2 64 5000 2.6 GHz True-Dual Core Design, 65w energy efficient 1MB Total L2 Cache.
which is why I chose the mobo and memory.....trying to save a few bucks.

3.Where/how am I fitting the 5 case fans power connectors? it looks like I can daisy-chain them but again, this is my 1st build.

I ordered the mobo, and memory yesterday....should be here by thursday, and I would like to get a heads up on any potential problems. All specifics of each component is listed below:

  1. no am2 cannot work in am3 boards but am3 can work in am2 and am2+ sockets

    rather grab this power supply its specially made for the big antec cases and 850 watts thats cheaper
  2. You need an AM3 CPU for that AM3 board, don't try that CPU. You won't have any problem with thaT PSU.
