hey guys have an issue where when I hit the power button on my PC which I have set to sleep, it turns off the PC and I cannot turn it back on. The lights come on but then I have to hold down the power button for 5 sec. then hit the button again and it comes out of hibernate. really weird and it just started happening I didn't know if it might be an eletrical grounding issue or my motherboard is going out.

thanks

well, when you hibernate windows 7/vista, the screen goes black while it copies all data from memory to hard drive. If that is what it is doing, it would explain why you can't turn it back on right away and why holding the power button for 5 seconds shuts it off. When you turn it back on, does is say there is a problem with the hibernation file? Double check that you have set the power button to standby and not hibernate.
