Hello,
My motherboard, ASUS Crosshair IV Formula, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131644 has a solid DRAM red LED on. Upon inspection, the RAM, G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314 are not seated properly. The white pins on the side also won't lock it in. The gold contacts also appear to be poking out. My question is, would there be a compatibility issue between the RAM and the Motherboard? The pins do match up, I just can't simply push it down far enough for it to lock in, what's going on?

Solution
#1) Do you have the slot on the bottom properly lined up?
#2) Have you applied enough pressure to fully seat them?
Memory takes a little more force to seat than some people expect.
Apply even pressure on both ends of card when seating, end locks will seat when card is fully inserted.
