hello. cpu-z and other programs has told me cp that my core speed is 997.9 MHZ but i also have two cores in my computer so does that mean that i infact have a speed of 1984.8 mhz ? since it's a duel core ?

AMD athlon 64X2 duel core processor +2.5 ghz is what it says in systems info.

It's cool n quiet, it downclocks your cpu to 1.0Ghz(997mhz in your case) to reduce heat and power consumption. If you actually stress your computer with a work load, it'll jump back up to 2.5Ghz.

And no you don't combine core speeds, you have 2 individual cores running at 2.5Ghz.

You don't? :o

Darn. I thought I had 2 systems with 14 GHz CPU's in them.

i wish i had 14 ghz of processing speed :ouch:  but im guessing once i start a game like company of heroes it will reconfigure itself to 2.5 ghz which will be good, i always thought my exact speed was 1 mhz lol and i didnt like that.
