Which Computer system would be better to get?

SO what would you all recommend getting, my first set or second?

XFX HD-583X-ZNFV Radeon HD 5830 1GB 256-bit DDR5
OCZ Platinum 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
hec XPOWER780 780W ATX12V v2.3 SLI NVIDIA HYBRID-SLI Certified CrossFire Certified Active PFC Power Supply - Retail
Windows 7

Or....
#2 Intel Core i5-650 3.2GHz LGA 1156 73W Dual-Core Desktop Processor
BIOSTAR TH55B HD Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
Radeon 5770

Same power supply and case, same hard drive and DVD burner.

Bother computers are the same price... Anyone think ones better then the other? And would the case/power supply work okay, or should I look for another power supply/case?

More about which computer system
  1. amd quad core vs intel dual core, i'd go quad core
  2. Your first build is better as obsidian86 said. I would change out the PSU to a better quality PSU for either build. Here is a build I would recommend for $977.90, which may or may not be too much over your current budget.

CPU/MOBO Combo: Phenom II X4 955 & ASUS M4A79XTD EVO, plus free COD MW2 Coupon
PSU/GPU Combo: Corsair CMPSU-650TX and XFX Radeon HD 5830
    RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600
    HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB
DVD: ASUS SATA 24X DVD Burner
    Case: Cooler Master HAF 922
OS: Windows 7 Home Preimum 64-bit
