What are the best 24" 1080p LCD monitors under $400

I want a good flat panel monitor as described in the title mostly to be used for gaming and some web design. I will probably buy three of these monitors to be used in an eyefinity setup with my X-fired 5770s. I would also like to have decent color and a pretty good response time (2-5ms, preferably the lower the better).

Is LED back-lighting a feature worth looking for in a monitor? Do games have that much better detail with LEDs?

Thanks for any help in advance.

I already have two LCD monitors (I'm pretty sure, its definitely not a CRT) except one of those has been used more, I guess, because the color is faded and the image isn't as bright as my other monitor even though they are the same model and they have all of the same settings. They are also about five years old so I need an upgrade anyways. I've also wanted a 24" 1080p monitor for awhile now. So any suggestions anybody?

My answer to a simular post.
Might consider the Auria EQ276W (ISP panel with 2560 x 1440 reolution 16::9 @ $400)

NOTE: Gpu needs to handle that resolution, ie ATI 7850 or better, not sure where the 650-ti falls.

For 24 In monitors.
I just bought a Asus 27 in PLS (some respects better than the IPS panels $650) to replace a Samsung T240HD (16:10 with buil-inTV tuner) which has 1920 x 1200 reolution. Not a Big difference in quality of the display. Outside of games The 27 in 2560 x 1440 has very tiny lettering compared to the 1920 x 1200 display.
NOT so sure the Asus was worth the cost to upgrade my T240HD.

This is one area that is very personal and I highly recommend that you visit a local store and look at the display that you are thinking of buying if at all posible - then buy online if Cheaper buy more than 10/15%
