Will crysis 2 run on windows xp

a good portion of today's gaming PC still run XP, so games will still support DX9 for 2010 and into 2011.

The better question, is, Will Crysis 2 require Direct X 11 to max out the same way Crysis 1 required DX 10.

Since the consoles are DX9, I assume Crysis2 will be DX9 as well. Maybe MS will cut them a check to keep it at DX10+ for the PC version.

Good, But as we are both running 4870s, I sincearly hope it will not be DX 11 only to max it.

crysis 2 i s new game also now days all games are coming in dx11 so the get ready to see new graphic if had dx11 graphic card

Since the game features some DX11 effects like Tessellation, you will need a DX11 card to max it out. However, DX11 effects are also pretty demanding so expect lower performance in DX11 mode.

um, i was thinking, is there any Dx11 only game?

i think that will not going to happen soon. there are still many people doesn't own dx11 cable card. at least the dev will not want to minimize their potential customer. that's also the reason dev go for the console to widen the target audience. to some extent they have dumb down the game graphic and gameplay so the console folks able to play the game with their limited hardware capability and controller. heck maybe before you can see dx11 exclusive title dx12 already come out together with windows 8   . by then if the console still the same as today you will see dev offering console port title to the pc with dx12 and dx9 flavor. people with dx10 or dx11 card will be forced to play the game in dx9

if i'm not mistaken when crysis came out the game also offered in dx10 only. but then they patched the game so people with windows xp could play the game
