Graphic card for p4

i want to upgrade my pc with new graphic car so which type of graphic card is suitable for my p4 i have a compaq presario

Most any newer graphics card will most likely bottleneck a P4, especially at higher resolutions. I would save my money to upgrade the entire PC.

Also, you didn't list what you currently have or your specs. What speed is that P4 running at? What size monitor do you have and what resolution do you run it at?
