Converting An External Drive To An Internal Drive

I'm thinking of converting my Buffalo Drivestation hd-ceu2 to an internal drive.
I've had a look around and it seems fairly simple, just wanted to check if theres any doubts or issues doing this.

External drives are just internal drives wrapped in a housing that provides power and a USB/eSATA port. Just take a screwdriver to it, pull it apart and remove the drive. It will work fine plugged in as an internal drive.
