Storage combo ssd hdd external hhd

Hello,

bought two 1tb WD Green HDD and one 1tb external HDD but then decided to buy a 60 GB SSD as a boot drive...sooo would it be a good combo to just use one of the WD TB drives and the external as a back up and to take advantage of portability (need that)? Thanks...

Maybe use level 0 RAID for the two Internal HDD and use the external for manual backup and so I can use it on my laptop when needed?
