[Solved] HP Pavilion zv6000 wont boot into safe mode or with recovery disk

my hp with xp proffessional will not start windows. it goes to the safe mode option page. when i select an option the screen goes black. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make the CD Rom 1st in boot sequence, then boot from the XP CD to repair the os.
