What are the best settings for GTA 4......are these enough?

Hi.........
My computer Has 1 gb ram
Core 2 duo @ 2.20 Ghz
160 Gb HD
Realtek sound

and I have to choose a good graphic card.........
I have 2 choices...

9600 Gt 1 gb
9800 Gt 512mb

Which of these will handle Gta 4 better..........?

I had heard that 9800 GT 512Mb was better But Gta 4 needs 640 Mb to enable the high settings...........

Please help.....................

More about what settings enough
  1. and also can 9600 GT 1 gb be run on an Iball PSU of 450 W..............?
  2. Well i'd get the 9800GT 512MB

    Here are the recomended requirements:

    Recommended System Requirements

    * OS: Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / XP - Service Pack 3
    * Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz, AMD Phenom X3 2.1Ghz
    * Memory: 2 GB (Windows XP) 2.5 GB (Windows Vista)
    * 18 GB Free Hard Drive Space
    * Video Card: 512MB NVIDIA 8600 / 512MB ATI 3870

    And plus 9800GT is faster than 9600GT in any game out there, it has double amount of shaders (64 vs 112) so 9800GT

    I think both either card would run good on that PSU....

    edit- you should also try OC'ing that CPU if you see a bottleneck coz GTA4 requires a quad to run smooth
    And if your budget allows it throw a 2x1GB set in your build coz 1GB is a little amount of mem. nowadays

  4. how would I Overclock the CPU?
    will it harm the system?
  5. I dont know about Gta 4..........I had been searching for hours trying to find on which card it will run smooth...........

    All the websites they are saying that Gta 4 can only be run on medium/ low settings on both 9600 and 9800..............
