DVD/CD RW DRIVERS NOT RECOGNIZED

Hello,
I've installed a new CPUAMD Phenom II quad core 2.5g 65W AM3 socket.My motherboard supports AM3 up to 65W (max.)Now my DVD/CD RW drives are not being detected,does anyone have a solution? have tried the regedit32.exe - delete upper/lower class filters,nothing works!!!
