I7 3770k Overclock Heat

My i7 3770k is now safely running at 4223.80 Mhz. My temperatures are now at a maximum 75 degrees flat out with Prime. Does this temperature seem about right for the 212 evo cooler at this speed, or does anyone think this temperature seems a little high.

Thanks in advance for any advice

  1. sounds about right and well within reason
  2. Thanks

I will probably keep the CPU at this speed for now. The Asus Autotune did quite a good job on the standard setting, I am not brave enough to take it any further yet.

Any further and you probably know an Evo 212 will not cut it. Besides most get 4.5-4.5Ghz on a i7 3770k with much more expensive HSF's.

Yes I was thinking that. I am pleased enough with the speed i am getting now on a reasonably low budget
