Pc does not load windows on reboot

Hello,my pc will work perfect all day then i might watch. you tube/webcam ect it will all of sudden screen goes blank. it tries to reboot but never manages to loads windows . to restart i have to shut down for min 10 mins and will start normal the computer is old running on xp i have tried re-image.no change. also updated all drivers .still the same. would shortage of memory do this .any clues as i dont know much about pc .thankyou

it sounds to me like you might be having a temperature problem. I know before i upped my GPU fan speed and installed my case fans full-screen videos were raising it to dangerous temps.

DL msi afterburner and check your GPU temp. also clean out your pc. this is the first thing that came to mind, but that doesnt mean im right. just an educated guess.

hi. thankyou for your help i did clean interior. i downloaded sensors view pro4.2 and it reveiled cpu not working fitted new and alls well many thanks.AJ
