Good replacement for 8800GTS 640mb

hi guys i currently own a 8800GTS 640mb graphics card and it died today..............i'm happy i used it for 3 years..................i'm really satisfied with its performance even now and i would like to replace it with a card having similar performance but with an ati brand...............can anyone tell me which present card would give a similar performance..........


i play games like Resident evil 5 and rainbow 6 vegas

Yes- depends on budget and if you are looking for DX11. Without DX11 support, you've got a clear winner in the 4850 for $85-95.
If you want DX11, you've got the 5750 at $120ish, and the 5770 for $150. You could even do the 5670, but the 4850 will blow it away for the same price. Even the 5670 though is a tier above the 8800GTS 640 in Tom's latest graphics card heirarchy.
 
The individual who posted with the suggestion of a 4670 must either be joking or has something lose up there. 5670 -5770 is the best for you when it comes to ATI and DX11 while a 4770 is also a good bet if found cheap. However if the prices aren't just what you would like then a 9800gt ( avoid every thing that doesn't have a 6pin power connector) is a very rock solid card. All of the above cards except for the low end 4670 are guaranteed to be equal to your G80 gts 640 in the majority of games out there.
