ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I am ready to purchase today and here is what I've chosen to be my first ever build. Although I am a NOOB, I would appreciate any feedback or suggestion to help me avoid NOOBish mistakes with my choices. I am a little concerned about the tower size, I don't think I will need full tower but I don't want to have trouble with space. I like to think I researched my choices carefully but there is always room for improvement and I have found this website and forums to be very valuable. Thanks!

Mark

This would perform better in games.

Only thing you lose out on is the case, which doesn't affect gaming. The one I chose is a pretty good case any way. And you lose out on your processor, but processors hardly effect gaming at all. The rana 435 will perform just about as good in games as the 955. A better GPU is a much better option then a better processor/case.

Do you mind if I ask another question? That Windows for builders version: that is full version? Why is it so cheap and why are we able to get through newegg?

Many places sell windows. It's no different then any other version of windows. It's OEM which means it doesn't come with the box or manual.

It also means that it's tied to that motherboard, so if you decide to build a new computer, you can't transfer the OS license over to the new one. Or if you rebuild with a new motherboard, you aren't allowed to transfer it. You can call up Microsoft and ask them to give you a new license if you lost the original motherboard due to damage or whatever, and they're usually pretty good about that.

If you buy the full retail version (approx 2x price), you would be able to transfer the license to a new computer (as long as you aren't using it on both simultaneously). Then again, most people don't replace their motherboard, and by the time you do, there's usually a new OS out.
