478 motherboard processor compatibility

have a northwood p4 1800mhz /
i am planning to upgrade to a higher processor' like intel celeron
2.4/ is it compatible? my mobo is socket 478/

Download CPU-Z from www.cpuid.com and under the motherboard section it will give the model number and manufacturer. Without that info there is no way to tell what CPU will work on your board.
