"recent" folder

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.configuration_manage (More info?)

When I click on customize from the taskbar and start menu properties window
and then click on the clear button a message comes up that says "Recent is a
Windows system folder and is required for Windows to run properly. It cannot
be deleted." How can i get this message to stop?

Why cant anyone answer this? Should I try a different nesgroup?
