So i was overclocking my 8150, and I left the voltages at Automatic.. i managed to push myself up to 4.622ghz, but it wasnt very stable.. so i put it down to 4.5 and it runs without any problems...
what settings would you recommend using for overclocking the FX8150 to get the max performance (on stock cooler atm)?
Im using a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 motherboard
-Sidenote... AMD's website says that they can max go up to 61C, but when my cpu is under load (even at stock) it goes up to 74C and stays there???

Hi,

Obviously reduce your overclock if you haven't already, you've found out yourself that 74C isn't considered safe so you should have reduced your overclock.

Have you checked out any guides?

I did a quick google search and found this: http://rog.asus.com/81732012/crosshair-v-motherboards/c...

It's with a different motherboard but the information is still valid and the settings should be named similarly.

Oh and stay away from auto Vcore.
