Intel Core i7-930/ASUS P6T X58 Chipset SuperCombo

Forgot to add that I will use for photography and some movie editing. So, that why I wanted i7 as I heard that it render faster than AMD.

Any suggestion or is that combo is good?

If the main thing you like to do is gaming ( your GPU is going to be more important then your CPU ) If you need this system for work whare speed is money when rendering, then i say go i7 930.

A i7 930 i5 750 or AMD955 will still do photography and movie editing ( just a bit slower then a i7 930

So with your budget you can get a system thats

1 grate for gaming and OK for photoshop work

2 grate for Photoshop work ok for gaming

You pick :)

I would say go i5 750 with that budget and your needs

Ah, the reason why I was considering X58 motherboard is that it seem that solid option for future upgrading or it don't really matter at this point?

Well AMD will have new CPU coming out this year also

Could you post like gaming 80% photowork 10% so i can see whats would be a better way to go ?

There is no question that a X58 is the best ( but from a budget point ) if gaming is your thing, to have a grate CPU and a POS GPU would be a waste

Whare on the other hand if it 80% Photoshop work and 8% gaming its better to go with a X58 i7 930

Umm, I would say 60% gaming, 40% photoshop/movie editing. Gaming is mostly RPG based, not FPS or anything like that. (Dragon Age, World of Warcraft, Runes of Magic, and some new blizzard games that are coming out basically).

Hard Drives - Check out the performance charts and pick whatever 500 GB per platter drive performs best under your usage patterns. The 2 TB WD Black and XT from Seagate are good choice but at smaller capacities, you are limited to the Seagate 7200.12 or the Spinpoint F3. The 7200.12 excels in gaming, multimedia and pictures whereas the F3 wins at music and movie maker. See the comparisons here (copy past link in manually, link won't work in forum):

XFX HD-577X-ZNFC Radeon HD 5770 $160 - Would prefer a 5850 / 470 but that's outta budget range. Get one now and Xfire later.

Would add a CPU cooler such as the Xigmatec S1283 $44 or one of the others here:

pick a TIM from the top few here such as OC Freeze ($6):

$1298 The large case, beefy PSU gives you loads of upgrade capability, the 1366 socket has a long future....and the memory gives you an easy 4 Ghz OC....

Alternately, look at the following mid tower pairings:

Antec 900 w/ EA-650 ($180) saves $50
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

HAf 922 w/ TX650 ($155) saves $75
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

You could go cheaper still w/ say P55 based board, smaller PSU, smaller case or Gigabyte alternative but that would limit your upgrade options....especially with respect to Xfire bigger cases and PSU's allow the power and cooling necessary and the Gibabyte boards cripple USB 3 and SATA III with Xfire.

Personally, I 'd like a $1500 budget a lot better as it allows a 5850 or 470. :)

Or you could go I7 860 and a HD 5850 ( this would be a good balanced system )
