Hello I want to buy a system but I dont want to spend more than 800 dollars. Its mainly going to be for gaming and making music cds and dvd and surfing the internet. I found this system and wanted to know if it was good for the price.
•Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
•AMD Phenom(TM) X4 925 quad-core processor [2.8GHz, 2MB L2 + 6MB L3 shared, up to 4000MHz]
•FREE UPGRADE! 6GB DDR3-1066MHz SDRAM [3 DIMMs] from 4GB
•FREE UPGRADE! 640GB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive from 500GB
•1GB ATI Radeon HD 5570 [DVI, HDMI, DP,VGA adapter]
•LightScribe 16X max. DVD+/-R/RW SuperMulti drive
•16x max. DVD ROM (player)
•Integrated 10/100/1000 (Gigabit) Ethernet, No wireless LAN
•15-in-1 memory card reader, 1 USB, 1394, audio
•No TV Tuner
•Integrated 7.1 channel sound with front audio ports
•HP multimedia keyboard and HP optical mouse
•Microsoft(R) Works 9.0
•Norton Internet Security(TM) 2010 - 15 month
•HP Home & Home Office Store in-box envelope
It's not going to be good since the video card will be slow since the 5570 is not a gaming card, just general use.
I would look into building your own computer.
At 750 (including OS) , you could get a computer with:
Windows 7: $100
GPU- Gigabyte 5770: $144.99
DVD drive: $24
CPU- x3 435: $75
Hard Drive- Seagate Barracuda 7200.12: $54
Case- Cooler Master Elite 310: $40
PSU- Antec EarthWatts EA-500D: $65
RAM- 4gb G.skill ripjaws CL7: 120$
Motherboard- ASUS M4A79XTD EVO: $110
With combos on newegg, this comes to a total of $734 without shipping and $749 with shipping.
