hey simfriend

going to the 4650 would have little impact and the 4670 is not a major step up either. I have owned both the 8600GT and 4670. What is the rest of the specs on your PC like CPU and RAM? Native monitor resolution. What games are you playing and what would you like to improve?

i would upgrade your CPU first, it is most likely what is killing your FPS

the Athlon x 2 6000 is selling for $55 on newegg, looks like your board can support certain Phenom II if you want to spend more

for your monitor, a 4670 is fine but a 9600GT would be better. You may need to upgrade your PSU, I do not see it listed.

also, 80GB HD is rather small. You can get a 500GB for $55.
