hi i have a asrock k8upgrade vm800 motherboard which uses a socket 754 i currently have a sempron 2500+ in it but i am planning to put a sempron 3000+ in it but it is a mobile processor do you think it will work the sempron 3000+ uses socket 754 socket so... i don't know if it will work

As long as the sempron 3000+ uses the 754 socket too, it will work, as you can see in this link:

i was worried because on another forum people said that some k8 motherboards don't work with mobile processors and i was spooked about that

I saw that too. I guess the only way to tell for sure is to see if someone else has tried to do this with your motherboard and if it has worked or not. Luck.
