Title says it. About to do my first build and ordered new case fans as the stock ones kinda blew (pun intended). My motherboard has 5 pwm slots (GB z77 UD3h) and I have 6 fans including the CPU cooler. Bought a pwm splitter to hook two up to the CPU pwm slot.

Anyway, just want to know of its okay to have all of my fans powered/controlled through the motherboard. Thanks

Hi,

Short answer: Yes

In most cases the answer will be yes, it would only be no if you had really high power fans and running two of them off a motherboard header would draw too much power.

Alright, awesome. Bought four Rosewill Hyperborea 140mm and one 120mm, so nothing too crazy. Thanks for the quick response

Yep those fan's will be absolutely fine on your motherboard headers. ;)
