Dying hard drive?

Hello, I have had a persistent issue with my hard drive lately. Every 2-3 days, my computer gets a hardlock and I have to reseat the data and power cables. Also, sometimes the BIOS doesn't recognize the drive and I have to repeat the process. Do any of you know what could be causing this issue, and how to fix it?

First step would be to backup your important data right away.
Next try new cables, check for firmware updates for both motherbd and hdd, and driver updates for your controller.

U may also wanna to check the CMOS batteries, Sometimes weak CBatt could result the drive not recognised....
