You need to go to the manufacturer's website and download and install the BIOS for your make/model of laptop. Most vendors make this very easy. Good luck!

I've tried the Phoenix website and under their Services tab the only thing to do with BIOS updates brings you to a third-party website that has you install a program to look up what you don't have fully updated and target you for their $30 program that automatically updates whatever. I have the COMPAL 1.12 BIOS on a Phoenix motherboard and am learning a lot more that I really feel I needed to bother with trying to update this nearly three year old BIOS.
I guess what I'm asking is for any information on this specific BIOS, though I'll hopefully have found it before too long, I appreciate your time on this question on behalf of those in my position that may happen to learn the easy way!
