Don't like to bother folks, but so out of the game these days that I have no clue with graphics cards. Have recently upgraded my old donkey to 1Gig system ram and running an FX5500 with an AMD running at 2Ghz. Was wondering what would be the most powerful graphics card there would be a point in going for on such an old system and if agp or pci. Thanks
Sorry - 2800 running at 1.6 Ghz. Would like to upgrade chip also but will need to check motherboard.
I'm big into retro. Just not hardcore I guess and would like to play games up to 2006. There is so much to catch up on for old tightwads like me

There is not much of a choice in new AGP cards for your system I recommend shopping on ebay for used 6600GT, 6800 card or even 7600GS or GT.
