I just got a 24" Asus VW246H and it has HDMI, my question is it better to use the HDMI or the DVI cable ?

Just wondering because with the HDMI i have to use the CCC over scaling to make it fit the screen

HDMI carries sound, DVI doesn't. Both have the same quality. If you have a separate speak set, or headphones, use those with DVI.

I have tested with both DVI and HDMI and since i use headphones,i chose DVI.
The quality is the same,however some games didn't play well with HDMI and gave the "Out of range" error but with DVI everything was fine

Agreed DVI is better for gaming in my opinion, in fact i recently bought a new screen 1080p and didnt worry that it has no HDMI

Thanks for the reply's all, I am going to use DVI because when i had it connected before with DVI, i didn't have to use the up scaling in ATI CCC
