6870 msi afterburner

Hello wanted to get some input on a slight overclock on my wifes 6870 i dont know anything about core clock shader and core voltage the core clock memory clock. The core clock is stock 900mhz. I currently only use msi for the auto fan speed which works awesome use for my 7970 aswell. A slight overclock would be nice just dont know how this works any configurations would be great!

OK here you go...With out the power/ voltage increase your overclock mileage will be very short. Every Card/chip is differnet some clocks better others dont. Use MSI afterburner and increase 30 or 20mhz core clock and then another 30 or 20MHz. Memory 50MHz than another 50MHz so you will know your limit. Each time Play very high quality games for few hours see if it last. Run Vantage/ 3dmark etc. If fails give the power / voltage a little bump see what chane it brings ( if the volt / power slider goes to full doesnt mean all card can use that. ) This should give a better understanding of your particular cards overclocking capability.
