What is your budget and are you US or Canada or somewhere else. I would perfer looking or having you look at newegg.com

I mean the I use a 9500GT 512MB DDR2 and I play crysis on low at 27-34Max FPS. Its okay I suppose, but if you have the money you should really get a 9800GT-9800GTX-9800GTX+-GTS220-GTS250 and all the GTX series cards are pretty spendy.

The 94 and 9500GT are not good gaming cards. I agree with shane however, knowing your budget and where you are will let us know what answers to give you. Info on your PSU, and monitor resolution will help as well.

Yeah, that isn't a gaming card at all. Minimally you would want at least an HD4650 or 9500GT. The HD4670 is significantly better than those for not much more money.

You are from India right?

9400GT is not a gaming card at all.
It won't play all new games even at low-medium settings.
So drop the idea.

The minimum I would recommend for gaming is HD4670 or 9600GT.Both costs around Rs4000-4500. These cards will allow you to play all new titles at medium settings.

Also make sure whatever you get has 512MB DDR3 RAM as these slow cards don't utilize full 1GB RAM.

I personally would argue that the MINIMUM you'd want for gaming is the 4670 or 9600GSO/GT. If you want to play the more stressful modern games, the GTS250/4850/5750 is the least you should get. The 9400GT, 9500GT, and 4650 just aren't powerful enough.

  :pt1cable:  a 9400GT for gaming?

No :non:  . It is not sufficient for gaming at all, unless you are playing old DX 8.1 titles :D . For a low budget go with at least a Radeon 4650 or an nVidia 9500GT with DDR3.

What cards are available where you live? If you provide a list we can suggest the best one to you.

for rs.17000 u can get a ati 5770, that should be enough for gaming and its about 7-10 times better than 9400gt from what 3d mark vantage scores i see.

For 17000 you can easily get a HD5850 which is a very powerful card.

Mention your full system specs along with monitor's resolution and Power supply(SMPS)
