Crossfire Question, please help!

Hi, I planning on building a new system from scratch, and I am planning on using this motherboard:

I am getting only a single 6850 for the GPU as of right now, but I plan on using Crossfire with another 6850 in the future. I noticed that the MOBO has two PCIe 2.0 16x slots, but one of them runs at 4x. Would it still be a worthwhile to Crossfire even if the GPU's are running at 4x instead of 16x?

Will it effect performance?... Yes
Will it effect it to a point that is it is truly noticeable to you?... No

You could save a little and go with ASRock 870 Extreme3, which provides better performance, at a lower price
