I have an aspire 1350, 5 months old. after a few weeks of use I noticed a
small crack on the lid next to one of the hinges. I didn't think much of
this. Last month noticed that the crack had got longer and there was a
similiar hairline crack next to the other hinge,which expanded when i closed
the lid.
I took it for repair at an approved repairer. I was told that the lid was
quite stiff and that was probably the reason for the cracks, and that it
should be repaired under warrenty.
I have been informed with little explaination as yet that Acer don't fix
plastic parts. So at the moment I am planning to contact the approved
repairer and then Acer to argue my case. I feel that if I continue to use it
the lid will break fairly soon and i will be left with a repair bill or an
unusable machine.
