I was wondering in the BIOS settings my memory is only running at 1066MHz but I have 12GB 1600MHz memory modules should I change the ram MHz to 1600MHz??

Corsair Vengeance 4GB PC12800 DDR3 1600MHz
ASUS Rampage III Gene Intel X58
Intel Core i7-930 2.8Ghz
 
Solution
You need to manually set the Memory's speed to 1600 Mhz through the BIOS.
By default, memory will be detected by BIOS as 1066 or 1333, even though it's 2000 Mhz memory stick. So you need to configure it manually through the BIOS to attain the speed, and timings.
