  1. One... You are buying 4GB of RAM with an 32-bit system. Get Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (should be the same price).

Second... I would get the Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB or Seagate 7200.12 500GB hard drives over your listed one. They should be similar in price, if not just a few dollars more.

Were are you buying from so we can review possible other components to help with price? Also, it is helpful if you use the template provided in this sticky to edit your post.... *How To Ask For New Build Advice*
  2. It's definitely not future proof. You don't have a new GPU, no USB 3/SATA III support, a low speed/capacity HDD and a smallish case.

I would definitely following the guidelines and give us a buget. I know I can put together a higher performing, more future proof build, but I need to know what you want to spend.
  3. Not more than 730 USD
  4. Here's a great cheap gaming build:

    CPU: X3 425 $70
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4 $125 after rebate
    RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws 2x2 GB 1600 mhz CAS Latency 7 $120
    GPU: HD 5770 $150
    HDD: Seagate 7200.12 500 GB $55
Case: Coolermaster 690 $70 after rebate
    PSU: Antec Earthwatts 650W $80
Optical: Cheap SATA DVD burner $22
HSF (if OC): Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus $35

    Total: $727.

Basically, you get a cheaper case and CPU and then get a better GPU, HDD, PSU and RAM.
