CPU multiplier shows 45 in the BIOS, yet shows 43 on everything else

Hello, I have an i5-3570k, trying to overclock with a P8Z77-V PRO motherboard. For whatever reason, my multiplier shows that it is at 45 in my BIOS, but when I test it on Prime95, it shows that it is at 43. I turned off Speedstep and disabled C1 (Not sure what this does, exactly, but everyone is saying to do it). When I go back into my BIOS, it shows it's still on 45 and should be running at 4.5 GHz. I also have my load line calibration on high (50%) if that matters.

I have done searches on here and can't seem to find the answer.

update your bios, had same problem, worked fine after updating bios to newest version, sometimes bios just mess up. same issue before, bios shows 45x, but actual is 43x.

  3. Try upping your TDP by +15W, it could be that your chip isn't getting enough power under load.
