LOL I think the OS was a joke, good times....

Well, for starters, I would go for a quad or at "least" a tri-core CPU. You might unlock the 2 dormant cores in the X2 555 (I did myself) but its not guaranteed. Newer games will make use of the 4th core. Your HSF is overpriced, get the Cooler Master Hyper Plus 212, save 20 bucks. Air cooling is air cooling for the most part, and the 212 is a great deal. You can also skip the thermal compound, the 212 comes with good stuff. Your mobo will come with SATA cables, that HDD is a good performer so you are all set there. Take a look at some of the other ~$1000 builds, there are a lot of great deals to be had.
